Of The Republic Of Kazakhstan !the Ministry of Internal Affairs has developed a draft law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "on amnesty in connection with the thirtieth anniversary of independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan" (hereinafter referred to as the draft).
The project was developed on October 29, 2020 in accordance with the instructions given by the head of state at the enlarged meeting of the board of the Ministry of Internal Affairs "on operational activities of Internal Affairs bodies for 9 months of 2020".
In connection with the thirtieth anniversary of independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the draft provides for the humanization of the criminal policy on the basis of the principle of humanity, exemption from punishment and criminal liability in relation to an individual unspecified group of persons, reduction of the unserved part of the punishment, as well as reduction of the number of persons held in institutions of the Penal correction system and registered with the Probation Service.
