Today, the Academy of law enforcement agencies under the Prosecutor General's office opened regular courses to improve the professional level of employees who are members of the Presidential reserve of law enforcement authorities.
Participants in these courses will be employees of the Prosecutor's office and internal Affairs agencies who hold senior positions in the Central office and regional divisions of the relevant law enforcement agencies. The main goal of the training is to improve the professional skills and managerial competence required for appointment to senior positions.
Opening the event, the rector of the Academy Ulan Baizhanov noted the importance and practical usefulness of these courses in preparing reservists for future responsible work.
According to U. Baizhanov, the Head of state has set the task of creating a law enforcement system that meets the expectations of society and high international standards. To do this, the country needs leaders of a new formation - educated, highly moral, trustworthy people. In turn, the Academy implements a system of special training of personnel who are in the Presidential reserve. Last year, 45 employees of the Prosecutor's office, internal Affairs, economic investigations and anti-corruption services were trained at the Presidential reserve training courses, of which 9 graduates have already been appointed to senior positions, the rector said.
To ensure a high level of training, a special curriculum has been developed, which is updated taking into account the existing experience of past courses.
For the first time, a new module on the basics of analytical work in management has been introduced into the educational process, aimed at improving analytical abilities in solving performance tasks. Also, as part of the execution of the Prosecutor General's order, training sessions on management transformation (Change program) were introduced.
In General, the training is aimed at developing and improving professional skills of effective team management (HR management) in standard and crisis conditions. The courses also cover strategic and topical issues of national security, counteraction to terrorism and extremism, and corruption.
The course duration is one month and is 145 academic hours, the main part of which will be devoted to solving cases and drafting projects that are as close as possible to law enforcement.
After familiarizing the participants with the specifics of the course program, U. Baizhanov urged all students to work productively.
Participants of the European Union project “Improving criminal justice in Kazakhstan”, state bodies and leading scientific and educational institutions of the country actively assist in organizing the training event.
