The Academy held a training session for press secretaries of Prosecutor's offices on interaction with mass media (Astana, February 6-10, 2017)

The Academy of law enforcement agencies under the Prosecutor General's office has completed courses on "Effective interaction of the law enforcement system of Kazakhstan with the media and social networks". The event was organized jointly with the office Of programs of the Organization for security and co-operation in Europe in Astana.

The courses are organized in order to increase the level of public confidence in the Prosecutor's office by strengthening the effectiveness of press services and ensuring information openness.

The seminar was attended by press secretaries of regional and equivalent Prosecutor's offices.

The training covered topics such as the practice of commenting on criminal records, establishing contacts with the interlocutor, and tools for effective communication. The article analyzes the quality of relations between law enforcement agencies of Kazakhstan and the media, the review of social networks, the activities of the modern press service, as well as the improvement of professional skills of image work.

The speakers were well-known journalists and leading experts in the field of public relations.

Colin McCullough, political adviser at the OSCE program Office in Astana, stressed the relevance of the seminar in the context of globalization and information development of society.

At the end of the seminar, the course participants were awarded certificates.
