The Prosecutor General's office will host the IV prison reform forum

On February 23, this year, at 10.00 am, the Prosecutor General's office will host the IVth prison reform Forum, where it is planned to sum up the results of its work for 2013-2016.

The implementation of projects previously presented at the forums, such as "10 measures to reduce the prison population", "Employment in colonies - 2017", "Resocialization – society needs you!"will be discussed.

The second part of the forum will feature a presentation of a new project of the Prosecutor General's office "Towards a society without torture", as well as a Plan of measures to prevent them.

Partners and co-organizers of the forum are the Committee on legislation and judicial-legal reform of Mazhilis of the Parliament Commissioner for human rights in the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ministry of internal Affairs, delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Kazakhstan, the EU Project "Improving criminal justice" and the Office of the OSCE in Astana.
