Prosecutor General met with the UAE Ambassador Mohammad Ahmad Aljaber
Astana, May 18, 2017. The Prosecutor General Zhakip Assanov had a meeting with the UAE Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary for Kazakhstan Mr. Mohammad Ahmad Aljaber.
Welcoming the Ambassador, Zhakip Assanov congratulated him on his appointment as a head of a diplomatic mission and wished professional success in the high position.
During the meeting the Prosecutor General emphasized the dynamic development of Kazakhstan-Arab relations.
Mr. Assanov, having informed the Ambassador of main activity scopes of the Kazakhstani supervision authority at the time, told that the prosecution service is responsible for international cooperation in the criminal procedure area. In this regard, it permanently works on development and conclusion of international treaties with foreign colleagues.
Parties discussed the issues of widening the legal treaty basis and expressed their notion to sign in the nearest future the interstate treaty on transfer of convicted persons which is now being completed.
It was noted that earlier the international treaties between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the UAE on extradition, legal assistance in criminal matters have been concluded.
