A. Kravchenko: information on free lands should be publicly available

June 1, 2017, Astana. Deputy Attorney General Andrey Kravchenko took part in the round table on the implementation by state bodies of the legislation on access to information in the Majilis of the Parliament.

In his speech, Andrei Kravchenko reported on the analysis conducted by the Office of the application of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Access to Information".

In particular, prosecutors have studied the extent to which the population has access to information on free lands and found that on the Internet resource "Government for Citizens" (www.aisgzk.kz ) land cadastral schemes of cities and districts are posted with weekly updates.

However, it does not display information about vacant land (only information on registered land plots is indicated).

Such information is provided on a written request within three working days.

In A. Kravchenko's opinion, it would be correct to adopt foreign experience on this issue.

For example, in Azerbaijan, people are informed annually about free land plots and programs to involve new lands in civil circulation.

The Republic of Belarus in the near future plans to post this information on a public land-electronic map.

"Therefore, we recommended the Ministry of Agriculture study this issue," the Deputy Prosecutor General concluded.
