The text of the Law "On the Prosecutor's Office" was published in the media

Astana, July 3, 2017. The law "On the Prosecutor's Office", signed by the President of the country on June 30, 2017, was published in the media. It will be put into effect ten calendar days after the day of its first official publication.

The law is a logical continuation of the implementation of the constitutional reform on the redistribution of the powers of the Head of State between the Parliament and the Government.

It defines the tasks of the prosecutor's office, outlines the powers (rights and duties) of the prosecutor, his responsibility, establishes the rights and duties of the audited entities, and reduces the grounds for the appointment of checks by prosecutors.

There are three forms of supervision: verification, analysis, evaluation of legal acts that have entered into force. The system of legal acts of the prosecutor has been adjusted. From the acts of prosecutor's supervision (response), "warning" and "injunction" are excluded.

A unified system of prosecution authorities, the powers of the Prosecutor General, the scope of the General Prosecutor's Office, regional, district and similar prosecutors are defined.

In general, the principles and tasks of supervision have remained the same. This is the protection of the rights of citizens, compliance with the law and coordination of government agencies.
