Additional details about an armed attack on a prosecutor's office employee

July 21, 2017, Astana. In addition to the previous information, we inform the following.

The General Prosecutor on the same day, July 20 of the current year, sent his special representative for a detailed explanation of all the circumstances of the incident.

Now there is an official check to determine how justified the position of the prosecutor in the criminal case on embezzlement of budget funds, which was held by O. A. Zhampozov.

The General Prosecutor’s Office entrusted to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan of the case on bringing him to suicide, initiated by the police department of the Tselinograd district. The supervision of the investigation is not entrusted to the prosecutor's office of the Akmolinsk region, but to the prosecutor's office of Astana. If the fact of bringing to suicide is confirmed, everyone who is involved in this will be brought to justice, established by law.

A criminal investigation into the embezzlement of budget funds, in which O. A. Zhampozov along with other five persons was held as a defendant, was investigated by the Anti-Corruption Service in the Akmolinsk region.

In connection with the events that took place, on July 24 of the current year a new prosecutor from the regional prosecutor's office at the trial will file a petition before the court to resume the judicial investigation in this case.

The results of the work carried out by the prosecutor's office will be brought to the attention of the public.
