The General Prosecutor’s Office shared the outcome of the work of the Center for Law Enforcement Services

August 23, 2017, Astana. There was a briefing: "On the work of the Center for Law Enforcement Services" at the Central Communications Service

The Senior Assistant to the General Prosecutor, Head of the Center for Law Enforcement Services of the General Prosecutor’s Office (hereinafter referred to as the Center), Sagatbek Suleimen, Deputy Chairman of the Republican Bar Association Kadyrzhan Baymukhanova, General Director of the Association of Mediators of Kazakhstan Zhandilda Zhakupov and the Chairman of PF ‘Pravo’ Olga Ryl took part in the briefing.

Covering the work of the Center, Sagatbek Suleimen focused on the idea of its creation, which follows from the 100th step of Plan of Nation for the integration of legal services in one place.

"The Head of State instructed all state bodies to receive and listen to people, solve their even the smallest requests, not to drive them around the offices. Annually prosecutors receive up to 50 thousand citizens. Basically, they are in criminal, civil cases and the state bodies actions. Taking into account this, we decided to make the procedure of reception as convenient for citizens as possible and in July of the current year we opened the Center for Law Enforcement Services, "the head of the Center noted.

In the course of the briefing, the range of services provided by the Center was announced.

"First of all, we created comfortable conditions for visitors, implemented a comprehensive approach. We solve citizens’ problems collectively. To this end, along with experienced prosecutors, representatives of other bodies, lawyers, mediators and psychologists work at the Center, "S. Suleimen noted.

According to the speaker, during the reception, prosecutors have the opportunity to demand specific cases, to verify the legality of procedural decisions of lower-ranking prosecutors, and to redirect the appeal to another agency for competence via the "Electronic Government" portal.

In just within one month of functioning of the Center, prosecutors conducted a personal reception of 608 citizens, rendered legal assistance to 342 people, accepted 266 legal claims and gave corresponding instructions to the regions.

Psychologist of the Center provided assistance to 97 visitors.

47 citizens were given an EDS with the help of which they, without leaving the Center, sent 33 electronic and 68 video messages to other state bodies.

The lawyers provided free assistance to 100 citizens.

The speaker also told what questions citizens were most often applying to the Center and what help they had already been given.

"For example, the decision to terminate the criminal case on the fact of bringing to suicide was canceled. Case was taken control. There was a violation of the disabled child rights.

Now we are trying to pay him social benefits. They made a legal claim on the dispute on the inheritance and via the portal they immediately sent to court. The case ended in the reconciliation of the parties. Together with the lawyer, they helped to draw up a petition for review of the case in cassation. There are many such examples. Behind each of them is the fate of a person, "the head of the Center summarized.

In the course of the briefing they also noted that such a Center is already operating in the Akubinsky region, in a few days will open the doors in Kyzylorda, and before the end of the year it is planned to open in all regions.

It will be recalled that on July 21 of the current year in the building of the General Prosecutor’s Office in Astana opened the Center for Law Enforcement Services. The main task of the Center is to promptly resolve complaints, increase the level of citizens' trust in law enforcement and state bodies, and remove administrative barriers and bureaucracy.
