The Prosecutor General held a meeting with the President of the IAP

The meeting of the Prosecutor General Gizat Nurdauletov with Cheol-Kyu Hwang, the President of the International Association of Prosecutors, took place in Nur-Sultan today.

G.Nurdauletov thanked Mr Hwang for his visit to Kazakhstan and emphasized his role in developing cooperation between the professional communities of prosecutors.

The Prosecutor General said that “The Association acts as an effective platform for negotiations between prosecutors and justice authorities in most countries of the world. It improves our cooperation and creates conditions for exchanging best practices and experience to counter new challenges and threats effectively”.

In turn, the guest expressed his gratitude for the organized meeting and assured his readiness for further cooperation.

The parties noted the need to strengthen international cooperation on legal assistance and experience exchange in combating money laundering, transnational and cybercrime, recovery of stolen assets.
