Trafficking suspect extradited from Bahrain

Nur-Sultan, June 05, 2021. Today, the staff members of the General Prosecutor's Office and Interpol, with the assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, extradited Zarifa Osmanova from the Kingdom of Bahrain.

She is suspected of leading a transnational organized group involved in trafficking girls from Kazakhstan to Bahrain for sexual exploitation.

After committing the crimes, Z.Osmanova escaped from the criminal prosecution authorities and was put on the international wanted list.

Currently, she is placed in a pre-trial detention centre in the city of Nur-Sultan.
