The number of road accidents in Kazakhstan decreased by 20%
For 11 months of 2020, the main accident rates decreased by 20%.
During this period, 11,837 road accidents were registered in the country (against 14,835 in 11 months of 2019), 17,193 people were injured in them (20.7% less than in the same period of 2019 - 21,690), including 15,439 injured (19,579, decreased by 21.1%).
1754 people were killed in road accidents, compared to 2111 in 11 months of last year.
The share of minors among victims of road accidents also decreased from 3,695 (11 months of 2019) to 2,630 (this year) and is 17% of the total number of victims.
There was a significant decrease in the indicators of accidents involving public transport, for 11 months of 2020 there were 173 accidents, in which 18 people were killed and 228 injured (11 months of 2019 - 327 accidents, where 52 people were killed and 592 were injured).
According to statistics, more than 86% of accidents were caused by drivers (10,195, 11 months of 2019 – 12,359), including 493 (574) of them were under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
About 25% or 2930 facts of road accidents that resulted in death or injury of people were committed in Almaty. Accordingly, the largest number of victims of road accidents was recorded here (3,503). One of the reasons for such indicators in the southern metropolis is the largest fleet in the country.
In the capital, 425 accidents were recorded, in Shymkent – 259 accidents.
The smallest number of accidents occurred in North Kazakhstan-205 and Atyrau regions – 215.

The user needs to enter the number of the car, and he will receive information about the date of the accident, the brand of the car, what traffic violation was committed, the number of victims, without displaying personal data.
It should be reminded that the Committee on Legal Statistics and Special Accounts keeps records only of those accidents in which there were injured or dead.
