The greenhouse, built for the private investments (KZ 1.5 bln), is located next to the Aksu thermal power station. 50 workplaces have been created here. Next year, the head of the complex plans to reach the designed capacity and grow more than 1000 tons of products.

“Now we grow cucumbers – “Meva” and “Rapidas”. Our complex can grow both cucumbers and tomatoes. In autumn next year we schedule to grow tomatoes”, the director of the greenhouse Ansat Zhanatayev said.

Akim of Pavlodar region Bulat Bakauov visited the greenhouse complex, congratulated workers of the enterprise and Aksu citizens on the forthcoming Independence Day and noted that the products would play an important role in the off season period.

“In New Year the price for cucumbers and tomatoes has always increased in our country. The greenhouse was opened in Ekibastuz two weeks ago as well. Today, Aksu greenhouse complex supplies the first products. We are ready to purchase the fruit and vegetables through our stabilization fund, so that the shops will not to raise prices”, the head of the region said.

It is noted that the price for cucumbers, grown in Aksu, will be cheaper by 20% than for the imported vegetables.
