Centralized water supply

The works on laying water pipelines sterted in Yamyshevo village (1.2 th people) and Zhambyl village (800 people) last year. About KZ 800 mln have been allocated from the local budget to provide villagers with clean drinking water. On the first working day of 2018 Bulat Bakauov paid a visit to the villages and saw the result of the work of the contractors.

“Now it is easier for me. I should not ask anyone to bring the water.
I can wash without leaving the house. I have already the place for a washing machine. I express gratitude to our president, regional and district authorities”, Sandugash Isina from Yamyshevo said.

Nowadays, 160 of 331 houses have been connected to the centralized water supply system in Yamyshevo village, 140 of 194 houses – in Zhambyl village. “Today it is necessary to finish the project and resolve all issues with maintenance of the water treatment facilities”, the head of the region noted.

“In 2017 we built 360 km of water pipes. This year it is planned to build about 400 km. We must maintain all these networks. The life of these pipelines is 20-30 years and even 50 years. We need appropriate specialists and workers. They will control the water treatment facilities in the villages and know the technology of water treatment and its supply. We have to train such specialists and consider the issue of training of personnel in the institutions of vocational technical education”, akim of the region added.
