As of today 3 of the 23 new trams have been already delivered to Pavlodar: two of them are on the road, and one will start to run in the oblast center in the coming days. Three more trams are ready for 90% and are waiting for the final assembling in Minsk, however the situation with the engine assembly is the same.

«According to the latest schedule, we are to receive all 23 trams until March 31, but if we look at things the way they are, they are unlikely to succeed within these terms», said Yan Marina, the head of «Pavlodar» socio-entrepreneurial corporation. «We assume that all the trams will arrive in Pavlodar until May 31, when the load at the Russian engine plant is reduced.»
Akim of Pavlodar oblast instructed to investigate the situation and to determine the specific delivery terms of new trams.
«The suppliers have already applied to the government to help extend the contract”, – said Bulat Bakauov. «We need to figure our what penal sanctions we will take into account, come to an agreement and set clear exhaustive terms. Already this week we need to send an official letter.»
In addition, the head of the region raised the issue of the effective use of healthcare facilities in districts. According to his words, it comes to the fact that in some central regional hospitals half of the spaces are not used.

«In early January, the working group of the akimat visited the regional hospital of Zhelezinka district, which was built 8-10 years ago, and for today 50% of the hospital is empty», said the akim. «The same is with the tubercular hospital in the Kachiry district. In fact, this is a fairly new building, but it is also not fully loaded. Moreover, in both cases, the entire building is heated at the expense of the budget. Therefore, we need to decide what to do with the empty premises. Probably there is a need to open a polyclinic or a rehab center. Remember the hospital in Maisk district, these days the only spinal center in the country is operating on its base.»

Oraz Mukashev, the head of the Health Department, confirmed that there is no load on the regional hospitals as it used to be before. For this reason, the issue of transforming these hospitals and creating beds for rehabilitation and palliative care is being considered. According to the head of the oblast Health Department, there is a need for them in districts, and after the system of health insurance comes into force, these beds will be occupied for sure.
