Bulat Bakauov Declared the Year of 2018 in Pavlodar Oblast as a Year of Ecology

Bulat Bakauov emphasized that it is impossible to solve all environmental problems in one year, and declared that a specific action plan for the year had already been drawn up.

– “The first step in this direction has already been made,” said the akim. – “Today, for the citizens of oblast center the information on the current state of atmospheric air is available  in online mode, which is broadcast on LED displays in four locations throughout the city.”

The head of the region said that today the population of Pavlodar oblast is concerned about the quality of atmospheric air due to the work of large industrial enterprises, and therefore he assured to work with city-forming enterprises in order to improve the environmental situation and reduce emissions.

-“Since this year, we will raise the issue of reducing the environmental burden as the obligatary requirement for the modernization of enterprises,” Bulat Bakauov said. – “Memorandums on mutual cooperation in the field of environmental protection have already been signed with 7 large enterprises of the oblast, 8 more are being signed at the moment.”

In 2017, the work on the improvement and current repair of block territories was started in the region. In three cities of Pavlodar oblast, 180 yards have been arranged well for almost 2 billion tenge.

– “This year they are going to repair 180 yards in Pavlodar, 50 yards in Ekibastuz, and 20 yards in Aksu. More than 2.8 billion tenge was allocated for these purposes. The three-year program is going to be completed ahead of schedule. This will be one of the main gifts for the 80th anniversary of our oblast.”

For 12 months of the last year, through all financial sources more than 240 thousand square meters of housing have been built in the region, which is 1.3 times more than in 2016. However, in 2018 in Pavlodar oblast, even higher rates are raised.

– “In general, this year’s task is to provide at least 300 thousand square meters of housing for the oblast,” the akim stressed. – “The last time such amount of square meters was introduced 25 years ago.”

As the head of the region noted, mass construction of “Saryarka” microdistrict goes on in Pavlodar, where 6 multi-storey apartment houses were commissioned in 2017 and 10 more houses are being constructed. Also a construction in a new “Dostyk” microdistrict is being conducted in parallel in the oblast center.

By the way, the Minister of National Economy of Kazakhstan Timur Suleimenov participated in the reporting meeting of the akim of Pavlodar oblast.
