According to rescuers, currently snow cover indicators are below normal by 10%. Despite this, 42 sections of highways, 1 section of the railway and 57 settlements of Pavlodar oblast were registered in the Emergency Department.

– “We believe that in 41 settlements it is necessary to carry out inspections and determine the amount of necessary work, such as embankments from a water flow side, drenaige trenches and irrigation ditches in low-lying areas,” said Samat Assainov, the acting head of Emergency Situations Department. – “It is also necessary to clear them from snow and pierce a drainage in the snow outside the settlements. According to our information, nobody have worked on this. For the moment, cleaning and removal of snow is carried out only in cities and oblast centers, public utilities have trucked out 410 thousand cubic meters of snow.”

As akim of Aksu, Nikolay Dychko, told with the help of concrete products in the suburbs, a dam has been strengthened. At the same time, the dwellers of the houses at risk, and being flooded almost every spring do not want to move out of their homes.

– “We have talked with them many times, but they cherish their homes,”- he said. – “But the measures we have taken will prevent flooding of these houses.”

Akim Orazgeldy Kairgeldinov told about the situation in Bayanaul district.

– “We have repaired the roads leading to Kokdombak and Zhanazhol villages, which were washed away last year and made them overflowing,” he said. – “In the village of Karaaschy we have made 15-20 meters wide water removal canal  in such a way that all the water that comes to the villages of Karaaschy and Tendyk will fall into the riverbed of Aschyssu river .”

At the end of the meeting the akim of Pavlodar oblast demanded to strengthen the preventive work with fishermen, who fall through the ice or find themselves on an ice floe in the middle of water bodies every spring. Also, according to Bulat Bakauov, in a countryside, it is necessary to pay attention to livestock that is pastured in a floodplain.
