Pavlodar Special Economic Zone: Plans for the Future

During the visit to the special economic zone, Alik Aidarbayev was told about the plans for the construction of the second extension of Caustic, JSC, the producer of caustic soda, which gives an opportunity to meet the complete, 100 %, demand of Kazakhstan market for this product , and the intention to arrange the production of glyphosate at the premises of AgroChimProgress, LLP. As Bulat Bakauov, the Akim of Pavlodar Oblast, noted, in Pavlodar SEZ they would develop not only chemistry and petrochemistry but also aluminium cluster.

“By 2025 it is planned to kick-start approximately 20 enterprises with an investment volume of about 150 billion tenge and a volume of primary aluminium consumption of 150,000 tons, ” the head of the region said. – “This year, Keti Group, the Polish company, will begin project work on the construction of a plant for the production of aluminium profiles. The volume of investments will make 28 billion tenge and processing of primary aluminium – 60 thousand tons.

The Akim also mentioned that Pavlodar SEZ has become one of the most successful in Kazakhstan, inviting immediately 14 tenge of investment for 1 budget tenge. However, today there is a partial lack of infrastructure in the special zone, which requires serious financing. Therefore, Bulat Bakauov asked for the support of the Deputy Chairman of Samruk-Kazyna fund for this issue.
