The common standard for repair and equipment of schools has been developed in Pavlodar region

The head of the region Abylkair Skakov held a press conference. There he told about preparation for the new academic year.

The press conference was held in the Regional Communications Service on TV channel “Ertis” (live) and on the pages of the regional akimat in Instagram and Facebook. Abylkair Skakov noted that on September 1, the educational process will start for 111888 students, including 12813 first graders. Today, on parent’s applications, it is planned to open "part-time classes" for first grade pupils since September 1.

“173 schools - 100935 pupils will have distance education. 183 underfilled rural schools (10953 pupils) will start going to schools in compliance with the sanitary standards. Educational facilities are provided with sanitizers and thermovision camera. As of today, there are 21907 computers at schools of the region and 18078 computers will be additionally purchased. They will be given to all students and teachers who need it”, Abylkair Skakov informed.

The head of the region also told about the work of the colleges. 43 institutions of technical and vocational education are ready for distance work.

“6 underfilled agricultural and technical colleges plan to start the academic year as usual. Students of the colleges are provided with computers and Internet. By the new academic year 450 new computers have been purchased at the college’s cost and expense”, akim added.

This year 81 projects for construction, reconstruction and overhaul of the educational facilities are implemented in Pavlodar region. By September 1, all rural schools will have warm toilets and preschool and educational institutions - video surveillance cameras.

“We have changed the approach to the repair and equipment of the educational institutions. On my instructions, the program «Заманауи мектеп» has started implementing. It is translated as “Modern school”. What is a modern school? This is the place where children go not because they have to, but because they want to go. It is warm and comfortable. There are comfortable rooms, furniture, assembly and sports halls, dining room, changing rooms. Everything should be thought out as much as possible so that a child wants to be at school, communicate with pupils and spend their time there”, Abylkair Skakov noted.

A concept of the common standard has been developed - exterior, interior, landscaping, system of logos and corporate identity of schools as well as quality of building materials and furniture. According to this standard, six schools in Pavlodar will be repaired this year. They are boarding school of I.Altynsarin, lyceum №10 named after Abay, lyceum № 8, schools №28, №34 and №39.

The head of the region noted that in the Department of Education of Pavlodar region there is round-the-clock "hot line" +7 777 450 19 48. Every city and area has the same "hot lines".
