To Make a Clean Sweep

As it was reported in the city Akimat, before the litter pick, Pavlodar enterprises, educational institutions and cooperatives of apartment owners were provided with about 500 seedlings. Besides, almost 200 trees were planted in Usolka Microregion near the Outpatient Clinic No. 4 and “Nazarbayev Intellectual School”.

“For the cleaning and removal of garbage, we allocated 45 payloaders and 115 dump trucks,” – said the Head of the city Housing Maintenance and Utilities Board Zkriya Sultangazinov. – “Also our contractors perform works on the whitewashing of trees, painting of fences and bus stop shelters, and road surface marking.”

In the meantime, more than 40,000 pine seedlings were planted in the suburb of Pavlodar. Two-year-old saplings occupied an area of about 9 hectares.

“Years from now, there will be a big forest here,” – said the Akim of Pavlodar Oblast Bulat Bakauov, who visited the forest plantation. – “Let’s make it a tradition – to come here every year in April to see how the planted pines grow.”

The Head of the Кegion also got acquainted with the course of repair works of the intra-regional territories of Pavlodar. As it turned out, 20 households have already been done up in the Oblast Сentre, and in 50 yards the landscaping is in full swing.

“We have counted all the yards in which repairing works are needed, there are 180 of them,” – said the Akim of the Oblast Centre Nurzhan Ashimbetov. – “We plan to finish all the works in September. At the same time, the contractor is tasked to asphalt not only the passages in the yards but also intra-quarter entrances to the objects of the social sphere such as schools, kindergartens, hospitals.”

It is promised to include in the repair campaign the passage along the Ukrainskaya street from Sultanov Oblast Hospital to the city Outpatient Clinic No. 3, which condition has been far from perfect for ages.

“By the end of 2018 this site will be asphalted and illuminated,” – said the Akim of Pavlodar Oblast. – “Generally speaking, we will develop a medical cluster in this quarter. The Oblast Hospital, Outpatient Clinic are already in operation here, a new oncology dispensary is under construction. In addition, we will provide part of the areas in the building of the former outpatient clinic of Pavlodar District to South Korean doctors who will open a diagnostic centre.”
