In honour of the holiday, the Akim of Pavlodar Oblast met with the Heads of ethnocultural associations of the region and awarded grants to them. In addition, Bulat Bakauov asked representatives of the Assembly of Nations of Kazakhstan to work more actively with young people.

“We communicate with many entrepreneurs who complain about the shortage of personnel,” said the Head of the region. – “Now there is a big process of urbanization, but if all the young people leave the village, who will work there? In the village, there should be a decent salary and a social package. I have already addressed to the Heads of agricultural enterprises to review their salaries upwards. If you just say that there is nobody to work for, but at the same time keep wages at the level of 60-70 thousand tenge, while the working season for some lasts only six months, then no one will remain in the village! Naturally, a young man would rather go to work somewhere for a shift! Therefore we will work in this direction with the Assembly of Nations of Kazakhstan.”

Then the Akim of the Oblast visited the Central Square, where public festivities took place in honour of the holiday. Bulat Bakauov went into every yurt of ethnocultural associations and congratulated Pavlodar people from the stage.

“This holiday is one of the kindest and brightest holidays in Kazakhstan – a holiday of friendship, harmony and understanding, which are so necessary for a peaceful life in a country where more than 135 nations and nationalities live,”-he said. – “We, Kazakhstan people, especially appreciate the Day of Unity. Just thanks to the policy of the President Nursultan Nazarbayev aimed at ensuring peace, harmony and mutual understanding in society the country has achieved serious success in social and economic development. I wish you a festive mood and prosperity.”
