Nobody Is Forgotten, Nothing Is Forgotten

First of all Pavlodar veterans, rear workers, servicemen and the public met at the Obelisk of Glory, where the ceremony of laying flowers in front of the Eternal Light took place.

 

“73 years have passed since the most terrible war in the history of mankind ended,” – the Akim of Pavlodar Oblast Bulat Bakauov noted during the meeting. -“Today we remember with special feeling all those who showed firmness and strength of mind, gave their lives for the victory over fascism. In this holy holiday for all of us, we want first of all to wish peace and reconciliation. After all, there is nothing more precious than human life.”

Afterwards, a dramatized performance took place in the Central Square, in which hundreds of entertainers, young and old, took part. In addition, from the city Palace of Culture named after Yestay to the Central Universal Department Store, the Immortal Regiment passed traditionally. Approximately 3 thousand people participated in this action.

Guests of the holiday were traditionally welcomed by military songs and dances. Also, all comers were treated to soldier porridge from 3 field kitchens. The opening of the race season took place at the Kulager race-course, the participation of which was accepted not only by Kazakhstani but also by Russian participants. The celebration ended with the festive fireworks.
