Speaking to Assembly members, the Akim of Pavlodar Oblast Bulat Bakauov said that when he meets with youth, he often hears about the problems of housing acquisition, increasing the number of educational grants and the lack of hostels for students. Therefore, the five social initiatives proposed by Nursultan Nazarbayev are especially relevant today.

“The main goal of these initiatives is to achieve high standards of quality of life for citizens,” the Head of the region noted. -“These initiatives can be implemented only through unity. At the 26th session of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, the Head of the state set the priorities for us to implement five social initiatives.”

The Akim recalled that, firstly, the Assembly should expand civil participation in the implementation of urgent modernization tasks. Secondly, it is necessary to finalize the Concept and the plan for the development of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan until 2025, taking into account the priorities of modernization, social policy, the “Rukhani Zhangyru” program and changes to the Law on the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan. The third thing that needs to be paid attention is the APK’s participation in charity.

“The Coordinating Council of Youth Associations is working at the Assembly,”Bulat Bakauov said. – “Young people must become an active engine of modernization in the new age of information technology and transformation. It is necessary to work on involving young people in the new youth movement of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan “Zhangyru Zholy” which should consolidate the youth around modernization.”

As the Head of the region said, fifthly, it is necessary to intensify the work of the public consent councils and involve them in the effective use of local budgets. In addition, according to the Akim, the Assembly should take an active part in the events dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Astana.

At the end of the meeting, the ceremony of presenting awards to the members of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan of Pavlodar Oblast was held. Shukhart Danbai received the sign of the APK “Zhomart Zhan”. Musicologist Naum Shafer, the Editor-in-chief of the  “Region KZ” newspaper Roza Mustafina and an active member of the “Merkaz” Jewish national cultural center, Maxim Karapuzov received letters of thanks of the Assembly.
