The Roads Will Be Better

This year it is planned to improve 1100 kilometres of roads including more than 460 kilometres of local highways.

During the meeting at Oblast Mayor’s Office, the head of the Department of Automobile Roads and Passenger Transportation Yermurat Nurkhanov mentioned that about 12.5 billion tenge had been budgeted for the road repair in the region. This money will be used to mend almost 346 kilometres of district roads and 116 kilometres of oblast roads.

– At the moment at local roads, we have laid asphalt concrete pavement over 67 kilometres, prepared 74 kilometres for asphalt coat, – the head of highway authority declared. – For the purposes of repair work quality control, the specialists of the authority perform weekly commission tours together with the representatives of designer’s and technical supervision, as well as with the workers of “Pavlodarzhollaboratoriya”.

This year it is scheduled to take care of the most problematic highway – the road leading to resort zone Bayanaul. In total 340 kilometres of roads will be repaired in Bayanaul district. According to the road builders, they use the method of cold recycling here as well.

After the report Pavlodar Oblast Akim paid attention of his directs to the post-maintenance operation of roadways. According to Bulat Bakauov it is necessary to carry out qualitative maintenance work in the region.

– This includes ditches as well, – the head of the region emphasized. – Last year the bushed were not removed everywhere, including the republic roads. This year we must intensify efforts.

Oblast Akim noted that the latest finish date of the whole repair of regional roads is October 1.
