The solemn ceremony was attended by the employees of district, city and oblast, as well as their own correspondents of republican publications. All of them were congratulated on the holiday by the Head of the region Bulat Bakauov.

“Now they say a lot about the fact that with the development of the Internet and social networks journalists are no longer needed as intermediaries between the authorities and society,” – he said. – “I think,  modern technologies contrarily significantly expand the capacity of journalists to fulfil their professional duties. And over time, the importance of the media for the sustainable development of our society will only grow, and the skills of qualitative information processing, explaining its importance and bringing it to the public in an interesting form will be in demand at all times.”

On behalf of the Oblast Akim, journalists, operators, photo correspondents and other workers of the mass media received letters of gratitude and grants.
