When the Capital is the Birthday Celebrant

The main action in honour of the holiday was held in Pavlodar on the stage of Ertis Promenade. Despite the heat and windless weather, several thousand people gathered on the Central embankment. Guests could see the theatrical performance “Тauelsizdiktin Zhuregi – Astana”, as well as the performance of Kazakh pop stars, and Pavlodar vocalists and dancers. For all comers, there were various zones – children’s, playgrounds and sports grounds. On the central beach, even an exhibition of sand sculptures in the form of Astana sights was arranged.

On July 7, a 20-kilometre bike ride took place in Pavlodar. More than 500 participants of the race overcame the route from the city palace of culture named after Yestai along the streets of Astana – Ak. Chokin – Tauelsizdik – Ladozhskaya and back. Among those who came to the start were adults, children, professional athletes, and amateurs.
