Akim of Pavlodar region Abylkair Skakov visited Ekibastuz city hospital and local temporary hospital.
During the working trip, the head of the region talked to Ekibastuz medical workers. According to them, the number of inpatients has decreased by one third in the last days. Not so long ago, the number of hospitalized people reached 70% per day. It is the result of the mobile teams working at the polyclinics. In Ekibastuz there are 14 such teams.
“Finally, our computer tomograph started working. We examine 40 people a day. Patients with the symptoms of coronavirus infection undergo computerized tomography. We bring them in the evening and take them back. We have a special transport for it”, the head physician of Ekibastuz city hospital Mukhametkair Andosov said.
Mukhametkair Andosov told about the plans to create a new infectious disease department in the hospital for 52 beds and resuscitation room for 10 beds. The building needs to be repaired, improved and equipped. The head of the region assured that money would be given for it.
Abylkair Skakov paid a visit to the temporary hospital for 300 beds, which was in the interregional training center during four months. More than 2200 people have been discharged from the hospital since its opening. Today there are 200 patients here.
“Our medical personnel work hard. There are 40-50 patients per doctor and 25 patients or more per nurse. All problems concerning organization of the conditions for medical workers have been resolved today. Furniture, refrigerators and microwave ovens were delivered to the hospital. There are no problems with about food”, the head of the temporary department Zhazira Abdildina told.
“Today in the region there is a shortage of emergency physicians. Their work is invaluable now. The task of the local authorities is to involve medical workers, including graduates of the medical universities, by creating the necessary conditions and giving employment benefits. Many flats will be commissioned in Ekibastuz this year. It is possible to give them to medical workers”, akim of the region said.
Akim of the region stressed that all medical departments of Ekibastuz should work in close cooperation. The head of the region has demanded to keep medical personnel, who fight against coronavirus, safe.
