Akim of the region visited the temporary hospitals of Pavlodar

Abylkair Skakov met with medical personnel, expressed gratitude to them for their selfless work and listened to the comments and suggestions about the epidemiological situation in the region. He also talked to the patients and asked them about the quality of medical services and conditions in the hospitals. The head of the region wished them speedy recovery. Akim of the region paid a visit to the regional hospital of Sultanov, city hospitals N1 and N3 and regional heart center. Abylkair Skakov saw the construction progress of a new building of the regional hospital and addition to the admission department of the city hospital N1.

In the Pavlodar regional heart center, akim of the region and head visiting emergency physician of the region Inna Glovatskaya went to the temporary and resuscitation departments. Today, 107 patients have hospital treatment, 18 people are in emergency room. Visiting patients, akim of the region asked them about the quality of medical care, medicine provision and others.

“I have been here for the third day. I came here with shortness of breath. Today I feel good and breathe easy. We have all procedures on time”, the patient of the temporary hospital told.

“Medical workers are caring people. They always observe patients. The food is good. There are enough medicines”, other patients told akim.

In the resuscitation department Inna Glovatskaya told the head of the region about equipment, its work and treatment strategy of seriously ill patients. Abylkair Skakov also visited the departments of morbid anatomy in that center and city hospital №1.

In all medical facilities akim talked to the personnel about the epidemiological situation in the region. According to them, a lot of patients, admitted to the hospitals, are in a bad condition. The head of the resuscitation department of the city hospital N3 Vasily Pavlov noted that many people, unfortunately, took antibiotics in a haphazard way at home. Doctors of the temporary hospitals spoke about improvement of primary health care.

Abylkair Skakov told about the urgent additional measures, taken in July. The number of mobile teams, examining patients at home, has increased in the region. 91 teams have personal safety equipment and things, necessary for health care. Their work is also monitored by the Public expert council, convened by the head of the region to advise physicians and emergency response center. In addition, on the initiative of akim of the region, a stabilization fund was created in the region. The emergency response center, headed by Abylkair Skakov, holds online meetings to resolve the problems as much as possible.

“One of the key tasks is to establish effective contacts between the polyclinics, first-aid station and hospitals. Their close cooperation contributes to adoption of correct decisions and, significantly, improvement of the epidemiological situation in the region. Our strategic goal is outpatients should not be admitted to the hospitals and patients from the hospitals should not be sent to the resuscitation department. Hospitals are provided with medicines, “CK-Pharmacia” increases its deliveries. We have necessary equipment. We will continue to purchase respiratory medical devices”, Abylkair Skakov.

Abylkair Skakov also saw two construction sites: addition to the admission department of the city hospital N1 and a new building of the regional hospital for infectious disease and dermatovenerologic departments.

It is planned to put the addition (2.8 th m2) into commission by the end of this year. In the new building there will be an emergency room, surgery block and resuscitation department. The head of the region charged the contractors to carry out building and construction works (BCW) in accordance with the schedule.

25 people construct a new building of the regional hospital. There will be the infectious disease department. Taking into account the importance of this construction object, akim of the region entrusted to increase the number of workers, accordingly, to revise the schedule for the commissioning of the facility.

“Today this building is necessary for the region. Increase the number of builders in 3-4 times, revise the schedules. The monitoring group will come here every week. It must control the construction process and its quality”, Abylkair Skakov said.

As of July 18, in Pavlodar region there are 3622 temporary beds. The capacity is 63% or 2283 beds.
