Having finished the report to the deputies, Bulat Bakauov met with the representatives of the Regional and Republican mass media. Many were interested in the future of the embankment, the extent of which next year will be increased to 6.2 kilometres.
“Now work is underway from the building where the branch of KazTransOil, JSC used to be located before the railway bridge,” – the Head of the Region noted. – “I can say that no one will touch Goose Passage, the natural monument located in this area. Moreover, we will perform works on bank protection and build a stormwater ditch along the perimeter of the park in order to save the embankment and “Gusinka” from sewage.”
In addition, the media staff clarified whether there was funding for the purchase of equipment in the oncology dispensary under construction. The Akim assured that this issue has already been resolved.
“If we asked KZT 12 bln directly from the Republican budget to implement the entire project, we would not get that kind of money,” – said Bulat Bakauov. – “Therefore, we divided it into two stages – construction of the building and purchase of equipment. The construction of the building will be completed at the end of this year, and next year we will put the required linear accelerator there. Money for this is already provided.”

Answering the question about the development of agriculture, the Head of the Oblast shared his plans for the construction of a sugar factory. This project began to be discussed last year when investors from Poland arrived in the кegion.
“There are no quick victories,” – the Akim stressed. – “You understand that a lot of time passes from the idea to the realization. Only design issues take up to a year and a half! I will say this: in Almaty Oblast, which is the leader in sugar in the country, this year, beets are irrigated on an area of 9,000 hectares. And we only have 9 thousand hectares of irrigation in Pakhar, peasant farm with all the infrastructure! For the purposes of crop rotation, we could grow beets on them. Moreover, this root crop is cultivated by some of our agrarians to calculate its sugar content. In the meantime, we are looking at what equipment will suit our realities, how much it will cost, how we will clean and store beets.”
