The Town Governor Has Been Changed in Aksu

A new governor was presented in Aksu today. The former Akim of Shcherbakty District, Balgabay Ibrayev became the Akim. Formerly, the deputies of the city maslikhat unanimously supported his candidacy proposed by the Oblast Head, Bulat Bakauov.

“I think Balgabay Zhumagulovich needs no introduction because he worked for many years in Aksu,” – said Pavlodar Oblast Akim during the presentation of the newly-elected Head to the city’s activists. –“I am sure that this appointment will give additional impetus to the development of Aksu. This city is of strategic importance for the entire region, and its industrial potential is in demand more than ever. Attracting investment today comes to the fore, and increasing investment attractiveness should be an important priority in the work of the Akim. I think the use of the mechanism of public-private partnership will be a good help in solving this issue.”

From 2015 until his appointment in Aksu, Balgabay Irbayev worked as the Akim of Shcherbakty District. His predecessor, Nikolai Dychko, worked as a town governor for almost a year.
