Last Saturday, Asain Baykhanov inspected the improvement facilities of the regional center

During the detour, the head of the region visited the construction site of an animal shelter in the Eastern industrial zone of the city. Previously, there was an unauthorized dump here and before starting work, the builders removed 28 thousand tons of garbage from the territory. As of today, the work has almost been completed, the procedure for transferring the facility to the balance of the regional veterinary department has begun.

Up to 300 animals can be accommodated in the Pavlodar temporary detention center on 1.12 hectares. There will be a quarantine room for sick and newly arrived cats and dogs, a feed room, a veterinary point, a playpen for walking dogs. The aviaries will be closed from all sides, with an airing system. The animals will be given all the necessary vaccinations, sterilized, and marked. They will be kept in the center and will look for new owners for up to two months, if they are not found, they will be released, but on condition that they are safe for others, socially adapted and not prone to aggression.

Akim of the region reminded about the responsible attitude to pets.

- Despite the efforts of animal rights activists, the problem of abandoned animals does not cease to be relevant. Many of them were forgotten and left by the owners to survive in the winter in the dachas. Responsible attitude to animals should become a basic skill. It is very important to give this knowledge to children as well. The foundations of humanism are laid from an early age," Asain Baykhanov noted.

The head of the region also inspected the landscaping works. This year, 106 streetwork sites and 18 mini-football fields were installed in the regional center. In addition, at the beginning of the year, funds were allocated from the regional budget for the arrangement of 182 new playgrounds for children. Unfortunately, due to the fault of the contractor, the work was completed on time only in 132 yards. The installation of 50 DIPS in the remaining yards will be among the first in 2024.

Following the results of the visit, Asain Baykhanov instructed the akim of Pavlodar to begin work on the preparation of design and estimate documentation for new facilities and to conduct competitive procedures in a timely manner for further improvement of the regional center.
