The problems of horse breeding were discussed by industry experts in the Pavlodar region
An international scientific and practical conference "The state and development of herd horse breeding in Kazakhstan and other neighboring countries", as well as an exhibition of breeding horses, took place today in the village of Toraigyr Bayanaul district. Hippologists from Kazakhstan, Russia, Mongolia and China discussed the current state of productive horse breeding in Kazakhstan.
Opening the forum, Akim of Pavlodar region Asain Baykhanov noted the importance of the development of the equestrian industry, which is of great importance for Kazakhs.
- This is, in fact, part of the genetic code of our people. Keeping horses is in our blood," the governor of the region said.
Asain Baykhanov noted the growth of the number of horses in the region to 250 thousand heads. At the same time, more than 50% of the horse population is concentrated in Bayanaul, May districts and the rural area of Ekibastuz. At the same time, the head of the region voiced problems in horse breeding that require joint solutions.
- The percentage of breeding stock is 5.6%. For the steady growth and development of the industry, it is necessary to bring the breeding stock to 60%. The products are sold mainly on the domestic market, it is necessary to increase the current subsidy rate for the production of mare's milk from 60 to 200 tenge per liter. There is a shortage of herders, feedlots, weak breeding, - the head of the region called the accumulated problems of the industry to discuss the development of a unified strategy of action and thanked the participants for an open dialogue.
The conference discussed horse breeding in different areas of productivity, genetic resources of animals, the development of equestrian sports.
Deputy of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nurzhan Ashimbetov spoke about the methods of solving problematic issues of the development of herd horse breeding. Professor of Taryn University of the People's Republic of China Gimingul Mukataykyzy shared about the state and prospects of horse breeding development in the People's Republic of China. Professor of the Chuvash State Agrarian University, Doctor of Sciences Vladimir Semenov discussed the implementation of the biopotential of dairy productivity of heavy-duty breeds. Saipolda Toktorbai reported on the state of horse breeding in Mongolia. Professor NAO “Toraigyrov University", Chairman of the Association of Horse Breeders of Pavlodar region Tolegen Asanbayev reported on a project to create a factory type of horse breed "Increasing the meat and dairy productivity of local Kazakh mares by crossing with stallions of the Novoaltai horse breed".
At the end of the conference, the best horse breeders and participants of the conference were awarded diplomas of I, II, III degrees, as well as cups of the Association of Horse Breeders of Pavlodar region.
According to the participants, the scientific and practical conference has become an excellent platform for constructive communication of like-minded people.
