Akim of the region Asain Baykhanov visited the Best Man's House-Museum today, met with the widow of Naum Grigoryevich Best Man - Natalia Mikhailovna.
Over the years of his life, Naum Grigorievich has collected a collection of unique recordings. In his house-museum there are more than 23 thousand records, including about 10 thousand phonograph records. According to the will of Naum Shafer, the collection will be donated to the city of Pavlodar.
- Naum Grigorievich, and we made the decision together, handed over the greatest work of his life to our state. At one time, a lot of countries showed interest and wanted to get unique records, but he was adamant. The collection should remain in Pavlodar. He could not have done otherwise, because he loved Kazakhstan very much," Natalia Kapustina said.
Asain Baykhanov noted that he remembers the wishes of Naum Grigoryevich to keep everything as it was during his lifetime.
- Samples of the best musical works of all times and peoples are collected here. The whole world knows about the Schafer Museum. It is our duty to preserve the legacy of Naum Shafer, the work of the great humanist should be continued," the akim of the region said.
