Akim of the region Asain Baykhanov held a meeting on greening sanitary protection zones of industrial enterprises

Landscaping is one of the important issues for Pavlodar. Green spaces within the boundaries of the sanitary protection zone of the industrial enterprise perform the function of a natural filter.

The head of the region recalled that according to the current legislation, the maintenance of the sanzone is the direct responsibility of each enterprise. However, despite the growing quantitative indicators, the quality of plantings remains unsatisfactory. At the same time, the sanzone is not a conditional circle outlined around the pipe. For some enterprises, the construction of SPZ comes from the boundaries of the industrial site, for others – from extreme sources of emissions.

The public monitoring conducted by the members of the Eco-Council showed a low level of survival of trees. For example, the survival rate of plantings in 2022 of the PNHZ was 40%. 27 thousand trees were planted on the territory of the sanitary protection zone of JSC "Aluminum of Kazakhstan" and JSC "KEZ" last year, the survival rate was only 11%.

The akim of the region instructed to consider an algorithm for determining the boundaries of sanitary protection zones by October 1, to work out the issue of drip irrigation in the territories of sanitary zones and additional sites.

To develop a unified conceptual approach to the creation of green areas and belts, submit dendrological plans with the definition of sites for compensatory plantings of enterprises by December 1.
