The Head of State talked with the residents of Ekibastuz

After the inspection of the Ekibastuz thermal power plant, the President talked with local residents, who told about the situation with heat supply in their homes.

The Head of State thanked the residents of the city for their patience in a difficult situation and civic activity during the liquidation of the consequences of the accident.

- I specially came to Ekibastuz to get acquainted with the situation in the city. Last winter was difficult. I've been following the situation, I understand you. No matter what, we must maintain unity and cohesion. In those difficult days, the residents showed fortitude, patience, and demonstrated their civic position. Therefore, I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to everyone. The relevant instructions have been given to the Government, the necessary funds have been allocated. I am sure everything will be fine with us," the President said.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev assured the citizens that the Government is taking all measures to prevent a repeat of last year's emergency.

In turn, the residents thanked the President for the support from the state, and also addressed questions about the improvement of the city and the construction of social facilities. Chairman of the Council of Veterans of Ekibastuz Samat Ramazanov asked the President to instruct the Akimat to improve the city park "Miner". Ayan Smagulova, a mother of many children, considers it necessary to build a house of creativity for productive leisure and comprehensive development of children.

The Head of State noted that all the requests and proposals made will be considered, and appropriate instructions will be given on them.

– This moment is very correct. I take note. We will definitely build a house of creativity in a short time. In general, we need to build as many facilities around the country as possible that will serve the younger generation. I tell everyone: you need to do sports. Children need to be involved in sports, but this requires appropriate stadiums and places. Even in the capital, we do not have enough sports facilities. Therefore, akims should definitely deal with this issue," the President stressed.
