The development of the agro-industrial complex in conditions of a low-water period, the risks of forage harvesting and other issues were discussed by Akim of the region Asain Baykhanov with the heads of farms

- As you know, this year, due to the small volume of floodplain flooding, small rains and abnormal heat, some difficulties have arisen. As a result, there are risks in the procurement and provision of feed, we will not hush up the problems, today we are ready to openly discuss ways to solve these issues," the head of the region noted.

Currently, 327 thousand hectares are mown in the region. The average yield in the region was 12.1 quintals per hectare, which is slightly lower than last year's figures. At the same time, low hay yields are noted in the Akkula and Maysky districts.

At the meeting, the parties considered possible ways of foraging in each district, taking into account their remoteness, limited opportunities due to weather conditions, lack of hayfields, water channel occupancy.

To prevent a crisis situation with feed production, 2 billion rubles have been allocated from the budget. Tenge, in addition, it is planned to allocate about 1 billion more. Tenge, increased the standard cost of feed per 1 head of cattle from 7 to 15 thousand. Tenge and from 3 to 5 thousand . Tenge for the MPC.

Farmers also raised issues on the further development of irrigated agriculture, increasing subsidies in various areas, expanding state programs on animal husbandry, and also expressed a proposal to hold such meetings on a regular basis with the invitation of representatives of relevant ministries, financial institutions, etc.

Following the discussion of the issues, the head of the region instructed the akims of cities and districts and the Department of Agriculture to ensure timely harvesting of crops, the management of subsurface use, as well as the akimats of the May and Bayanaul districts to keep the restoration of estuary irrigation under constant control until October 30.
