The project to determine the location of fires using unmanned aerial vehicles was discussed today in the regional akimat

Akim of the region Asain Baykhanov met with representatives of the Taraz Innovation Institute named after Sh. Murtaza, who presented a project for the rapid detection of fires in forest and steppe areas using drones.

- Such a project is relevant for our region. On the territory of 9 districts of the region there are lands of the state forest fund, where 40 wildfires have been recorded this year. Prompt detection of fire sources, determination of the area and analysis of the situation for taking appropriate measures is our priority task in the fight against the elements," the mayor said at the meeting.

According to experts, the use of controlled aircraft allows you to detect fires more quickly. Drones are able to quickly penetrate into hard-to-reach places where the use of traditional methods is difficult.

Following the meeting, the head of the region instructed to organize a visit of representatives of the institute to regional forestry enterprises to analyze the organization of work on the use of unmanned aerial vehicles on the territory of the state forestry fund.
