Asain Baykhanov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan Ibodzoda Khairullo

The governor of the region spoke about the investment climate of the region, about the advantages of a developed transport and logistics infrastructure, preferences of the special economic zone.

- For the first quarter of 2023, the foreign trade turnover of the region amounted to 16 million US dollars. The potential in mutual trade is much greater. Your visit can serve as a good incentive to increase the volume of trade," the mayor noted.

In turn, the head of the diplomatic mission thanked for the hospitality and openness to dialogue.

- The purpose of my visit to Pavlodar region is to study the potential of the region and to outline the best directions in the work, – said Khairullo Ibodzoda.

The parties agreed to develop cooperation in the export of grain crops and flour from the Irtysh region, as well as the import of early vegetables and fruits from Tajikistan in order to reduce their cost. In addition, the Tajik side is ready to consider the construction of a wholesale distribution center for storing fruits imported from Tajikistan.
