Today Akim of Pavlodar region Asain Baykhanov took part in the first session of the regional maslikhat of the VIII convocation

Article 3 of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan states that the main source of power is the people and exercises it, including through free elections. The new deputies were elected according to a mixed electoral system - according to party lists and single-mandate constituencies, which, of course, made it possible to fully take into account the rights of all citizens.

Thus, the regional maslikhat included 16 deputies from 6 political parties and 16 deputies from single—mandate constituencies - representatives of industrial enterprises, the agricultural sector, construction, business, and the social sphere. The head of the region noted that deputies have a great responsibility — to justify the high trust of voters — residents of the region.

- The implementation of your election programs, the execution of proposals and instructions of voters, joint work with local executive bodies should become priority areas of work. The activity of deputies should not be limited to sessions, standing committees and personal receptions, it should be saturated with significant and effective cases. Together we will have to ensure further work on the execution of the instructions of the Head of State on the main priorities of the socio-economic development of the region," Asain Baykhanov said.

At the end of his speech, the mayor wished the new convocation successful and fruitful work.
