Pavlodar District Has Been Headed by Zhanat Shugayev

Representing the newly-made Akim in the Akimat of the region, the Head of the Oblast, first of all, thanked his predecessor Alexander Babenko. According to Bulat Bakauov, for almost four years many investment projects were carried out with him and new production facilities were opened.

“Zhanat Shugayev has extensive experience in managing small and medium-sized enterprises and in the agricultural sector, which is important for the development of Pavlodar district as a food belt of the regional centre,”- said the Akim of Oblast.  – Under his direct leadership, state and regional programs are implemented in a timely and efficient manner.

The Head of the Oblast instructed the appointee to review the district budget, optimize it and direct it to the development of economic potential. In addition, the regional Akim will have to introduce new objects of agricultural processing and anchor cooperation, as well as help local farmers with the sale of vegetable products.

Zhanat Shugayev was born in 1960. In 1983, he graduated from the Tselinograd Agricultural Institute with a degree in agronomy. He began his career in 1983 as an agronomist at the Mayak state farm. He then worked in various management positions.

From 1991 to 2003 – the Director General of Pavlodar BATT, Small Enterprise, the representative of BATT Corporation, Director of Smirnovsky Elevator, JSC, the Director of Kiyaly Astyk, LLP. From 2004 to 2006 – the Akim of the Akkainsky District of the North Kazakhstan Region, the President of the Mamlyut Milling Plant, OJSC NKR. From 2007 to 2009 – the General Director of Agrofirma Burabay 2007, LLP. From 2009 to 2013 – the Akim of Zhelezinsky and Irtysh districts.
