Akim of the region congratulated foster families and mentors on the Day of the guardian

The issues of raising foster children and the successes of graduates of orphanages were discussed at a meeting of representatives of boards of trustees, foster families, mentors, educators and patrons. Abylkair Skakov thanked them for their contribution to the formation of the future generation.

Vadim and Tamara Moroz became guardians in 2016. The decision was influenced by the woman's work. Now the family is raising six foster children, the eldest of whom – Tatiana and Valentina – are already students.

– Having worked in an orphanage, I learned that graduates need support to start an independent life. I wanted to help many people," Tamara Moroz shared. – A few years later, my husband and I decided to adopt, and our family was born.

Almost five years ago, fashion designer Olga Kutenkina chose the path of mentoring. For 17-year–old Milena, she became a family, friend and teacher now in a common business - sewing.

– We have developed warm, friendly, kind relations. If necessary, I provide support so that she feels supported and confident in her future life," the mentor said.

Patrons, educators and graduates of orphanages became the guests of the holiday. For example, the director of the public fund "Union of Zhas" Denis Lukyanchuk gave the children of the orphanage a trip to Aktau. The story of a graduate of the Shakat family-type orphanage, Aizhan Uralova, inspired by her example. She is an artist of the Isa Baizakov Regional Philharmonic Society, at the same time she teaches young musicians.

Akim of the region noted that such meetings have become a good tradition. To accept a child deprived of parental warmth is not an easy mission and a huge responsibility.

– I express my sincere gratitude. I am grateful to everyone who gives warmth of their soul and attention to children. I am sure that thanks to your love, care and attention, children will find their way in life," Abylkair Skakov addressed all those present. – Joint efforts continue to work on the development of family forms of arrangement through adoption, guardianship and foster care.

In general, nine foster parent schools have been opened in the region over the past three years. 517 graduates of orphanages have acquired housing from the state fund since 2020, 134 of them this year.
