The Alliance of Colleges was formed by 14 secondary specialized educational institutions of three regions of Kazakhstan and the Eurasian Group. The directors of the colleges of Pavlodar, Kostanay and Aktobe regions and the leadership of ERG signed a memorandum in Aksu. The guests were greeted by the head of the region Abylkair Skakov.
As the governor of Pavlodar region noted, the training of technical personnel for the modern labor market is one of the directions of development of the region's education system. In particular, competence centers have been opened at 10 colleges. Over the past three years, the state order for the training of technical specialists has doubled and covered 80% of all college students in the region. They plan to reach 100% by 2025.
– Aksu is a city with rich labor traditions, – said Abylkair Skakov. – I propose that Aksu College, together with the alliance, develop new educational programs in popular specialties for specific industries and new investments. The ratio of theory and practice, dual form and traditional training, monitoring of graduates' employment – solving these issues will be an excellent result of work.
In total, about 22 thousand students study at colleges in the region. Many of them have the opportunity to practice in parallel at almost 150 enterprises of the region, the largest of which are ERG productions.
– There is a stereotype that a turner is not a female profession. But we have a lot of girls studying. It's not hard, but, on the contrary, very interesting. The competence center allows you to apply knowledge in practice, – says Alexandra Bukumbayeva, a second-year student of the Aksu College of Ferrous Metallurgy.
In total, during the cooperation of the colleges of Pavlodar region with the Eurasian Group, about 40 thousand specialists have been trained.
– Without people, we can't create anything, we can't create. Therefore, we need young, talented, trained people. Making industrial professions interesting for the younger generation is our top priority," said ERG shareholder Alexander Mashkevich.
On the eve of its 55th anniversary, Aksu College of Ferrous Metallurgy received a gift certificate for the modernization of the competence center from ERG.
