The bronze medalist of the Olympic Games in London received an apartment

The keys to the apartment were handed to Daulet Shabanbai by akim of the region Abylkair Skakov.  Earlier, the Pavlodar wrestler was among the winners of the 2012 Olympic Games.

Daulet Shabanbai is a four–time bronze medalist of the Asian Championship (2008, 2009, 2011, 2014) and a silver medalist of the Asian Games. And in September of this year, after anti-doping checks and cancellation of the results of rivals from Georgia and Uzbekistan, our countryman was recognized as the bronze medalist of the 2012 Olympics in London. Having completed his career as an athlete, the 39-year-old wrestler intends to continue his work as a mentor.

– The main goal is to pass on our experience to young people and foster hard work. After all, work adorns a person. May the banner of Kazakhstan's sports always be on top," Daulet Shabanbai said.

The head of the region noted the contribution of the Olympic medalist to the development of sports and handed over the keys to a one-room apartment in Pavlodar.

– Residents of the whole region are proud of you. You are a shining example for the younger generation. Now we need to try to transfer the accumulated experience and skills to young athletes. I sincerely wish you good luck and success," said Abylkair Skakov.

It should be noted that this is the first award of Pavlodar athletes at the Summer Olympic Games.
