A large metallurgical cluster will be created in Pavlodar region

Enterprises for the production of ferroalloys and steel, metal recycling factory. Abylkair Skakov launched the first project of a metallurgical cluster in the Pavlodar region.

The capacity of the investment project of Mineral Product International LLP is 160 thousand tons of ferroalloys per year. The uniqueness of the enterprise for the production of ferroalloys is the use of modern innovative technologies for the purification of emissions up to 99.9%. Finished products will provide the market of the EU countries, Asia and the USA. The total investment is 360 million US dollars.

As the regional akim noted, the export-oriented enterprise will be the first project of a large metallurgical cluster, which was launched during the visit of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to South Korea.

- The metallurgical cluster will include a metal recycling factory, enterprises for the production of steel and ferroalloys. Their implementation will increase the volume of the region's manufacturing industry by 57% by 2025, - Abylkair Skakov emphasized. - Will provide about three thousand local residents with permanent jobs.

It is planned to ship more than 3 million tons of steel products to the domestic market of the country annually with a 70% reduction in imports. According to the company's shareholder Sergey Kan, all conditions have been created in the Pavlodar region for the development of the metallurgical industry.

- The state creates a favorable environment for investors in the form of investment preferences and the possibility of summing up all the necessary infrastructure, - the shareholder noted. - An important factor in choosing the Pavlodar region was the availability of a raw material base, qualified specialists, as well as the energy potential of the region.

In general, the volume of production in the region reached 1.4 trillion tenge - this is the second place in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The same position is on non-commodity exports, which show an increase of 1.4 times. In total, by 2025, it is planned to implement 143 large investment projects worth 2 trillion tenge with the creation of about ten thousand new jobs.
