Abylkair Skakov met with agricultural producers of the region

The head of the region instructed to develop scientific and applied approaches, diversify the sown areas and maintain prices while familiarizing himself with the harvesting campaign in Pavlodar, Zhelezinsky districts and Terenkol.

The harvested area of agricultural crops this year amounted to over 1.3 million hectares, which is 138 thousand hectares more than last year. According to the head of the regional department of agriculture Nurbolat Makashev, grain yields amounted to almost 10 centners per 1 hectare, vegetables - 30 centners per 1 hectare. At the same time, harvesting campaigns in the region continue and are only 50% completed.

Abylkair Skakov instructed to harvest the crop on time and ensure safety, as well as continue the practice of diversifying sown areas.

- A lot of investments are pouring into irrigation, there are storage facilities. We must saturate the local market and provide for ourselves, - the regional akim emphasized. - The most important thing now is to harvest and preserve the harvest, keep prices, work with large agricultural producers.

The “Rodnik” peasant farm of the Chernoyarsk rural district is already selling onions and cabbage at 80 tenge per kilogram. The main sales points are Ekibastuz and Pavlodar. According to the head of the farm, Gennady Andreitsev, onions are stored in warehouses where a ventilation system has been installed. The harvest campaign is expected to be completed within five days.

At a meeting with agrarians, Abylkair Skakov recalled that products should be delivered from the field to the counter without intermediaries. Akim of Pavlodar region Yerzhan Imanslyam was instructed by the head of the region to continue work on increasing the volume of agricultural production.

- Almost every third ton is in the vegetable stores of Pavlodar region. This is a good indicator, - said the regional akim. - It is necessary to increase the structure of the agro-industrial complex. It concerns attraction of modern technologies and investments.

Store shelves this year will be replenished with local broccoli. Asparagus cabbage has been experimentally grown for the second year in the Kabyldinov farm. Abylkair Skakov offered to sell products at the farmers' market, which is planned to be launched in October.

As part of the five-year comprehensive plan, it is planned to plant about 32 million pine seedlings in the region and increase the forest area from 89,000 to 95,000 hectares. Akim of the region once again emphasized the need to digitize each seedling to control the forest fund.

- The villagers complain that young trees are cut down, - the head of the region shared. - A clear system is needed to help manage the economy. This is part of the forest policy work. To form a careful attitude to the forest fund, it is necessary to carry out explanatory work among the population on an ongoing basis.

Abylkair Skakov instructed to choose the most efficient way to water the trees. One of the options being considered was drip irrigation.

The Kundyz farm in the village of Bobrovo grows grain crops and potatoes. A universal automated system operates to control the microclimate in potato storage facilities. The head of the region met with the farmers of the Terenkol district on the fields of the Irtysh Agro farm. Farmers spoke about previously provided state support measures. Abylkair Skakov noted the importance of applying scientific and applied approaches.

- Akims of districts together with the Department of Agriculture and farmers should conduct analytics by districts, - the oblast akim emphasized. - It is necessary to develop new requirements for the saturation of the land and maintaining the balance of the soil.

The akim of the region was told about the preliminary results in LLP "Samruk and K" in the Zhelezinsky district. This year, the farming enterprise plans to harvest about 40 tons of potatoes. According to director Timur Kabdulov, Turkish potatoes of local production may soon enter the local market, the yield of which turned out to be higher than previous varieties.

In the Bashmachinsky rural district, Abylkair Skakov met with the farmers of the Zhelezinsky district. Seed farms raised the issue of subsidizing mineral fertilizers. According to them, half of the seed material is purchased from Holland and China, which is expensive for farmers. The head of the region stressed the importance of applying agro-science.

- Our research institutes should work on breeding, seed production and fertilizers, - said the head of the region. – We have more than 300 types of subsidies, but basically we have to switch to subsidizing seed production. We must reduce import dependence on seeds, fertilizers and all components. To do this, we need a domestic market for the production of our own fertilizers, our own seed fund, and most importantly, the development of our own breeding science.

In general, 23,000 tons of cheaper fuel were allocated to peasants in the region at the cost of 191 tenge per liter. This is almost 40 tenge cheaper than market prices.
