The construction of an environmentally friendly enterprise is being carried out in the industrial zone of GRES-1. Akim of the region Abylkair Skakov got acquainted with the socio-economic development of Ekibastuz. As part of a comprehensive plan for the development of the city, educational institutions have been updated, and in September a rehabilitation center will be launched to provide special social services.
The export-oriented enterprise is aimed at the production of high-quality ferrosilicon, which is planned to be supplied to the USA, South Korea and Japan. Production capacity - 240 thousand tons of ferrosilicon per year. According to CEO Madiyar Daniyarov, the investment project is environmentally friendly. The installed system, which has practically no analogues in the world, provides the highest degree of air purification up to 99.8%. This happens by capturing the dust and turning it into a by-product - microsilica, which is further used in the construction industry.
- The main technological building consists of a furnace building, a bottling shop and a warehouse for finished products. Fundamental works are fully completed, earthworks are 90% completed, a metal structure is being erected,” said Madiyar Daniyarov.
The launch of the project is planned for the fourth quarter of 2023. The volume of investments will amount to 92 billion tenge. During the construction phase, 1,500 temporary jobs will be created, and after commissioning, 800 permanent jobs will be created. Akim of the region noted the need to create infrastructure for the employees of the enterprise.
- This is a very short time for the construction of such a modern investment project. Within seven months of construction, taking into account the specifics of the enterprise, the results are already visible, - Abylkair Skakov emphasized.
In September of this year, the Omir Center will be launched in Ekibastuz to provide special social services for the elderly and disabled. According to the head of the regional department for the coordination of employment and social programs, Almira Disyupova, large boarding houses are now being de-instructed in the region.
- The center was created as part of a public-private partnership. The investment contribution amounted to about 47 million tenge. The guests will be able to receive special social services in the round-the-clock hospital mode, - shared Almira Disyupova.
In general, it is planned to support 20 guests at the expense of the local budget. Five more places, designed for vacations or long business trips for the elderly, will remain paid. The building has a treatment room, a dining room, a relaxation room, fitness equipment, a gazebo and greenhouses. Abylkair Skakov noted the importance of such social projects.
- The strategy is changing, the state has chosen the direction towards small social projects. Non-governmental organizations and those who wish to engage in social entrepreneurship need to restructure. The center has infrastructure and everything you need. It can be recommended as a flagship to other regions, - the regional akim noted.
For the first time in 29 years, the school - gymnasium No. 24 of the city of Ekibastuz underwent a comprehensive renovation. 1115 children study here. As the director of the gymnasium school Kuralai Rakhmetzhanova said, in the framework of the Zamanaui Mektep project, the main building was overhauled in 2022, the adjacent territory was landscaped, a football field, exercise equipment and a playground for children were installed. 600 million tenge was allocated for these purposes.
- All conditions have been created according to the latest trends for teachers, schoolchildren and parents. It is very important that ordinary residents of the microdistrict can use sports and playgrounds, - Abylkair Skakov emphasized.
The first examination circuit, designed for practical driving lessons when obtaining a driver's license, is located on an area of 1 hectare. The territory is equipped with road signs, a roadway, asphalt pavement and lighting elements. With the launch of the autodrome, Ekibastuz residents will no longer have to travel to the regional center to take exams.
- Such a public service should be available - this is one of the points of the complex development of Ekibastuz. Everything should meet the standards and be convenient for residents, - said the head of the region.
Now special PSCs are opening rooms for passing tests. Drivers from any area will be able to pass exams here. The launch of the project is scheduled for September this year.
