Pavlodar residents celebrated the Day of Unity of the People of Kazakhstan

Festive festivities were held in Gagarin Park and on the square in front of the House of Friendship. The stars of Kazakhstan and Pavlodar pop performed at the solemn concert "Kazakhstan – birlik pen tatulyktyn mekeni".

Akim of the region congratulated Pavlodar residents and guests of the city on the holiday. He recalled the thesis from the speech of the Head of State at the XXXI session of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan that the principle of "different views, but one nation" is unshakable.

- Our people have wonderful words "Where there is unity, there is life", - said Abylkair Skakov. – In his message, the Head of State noted that the New Kazakhstan is a path of modernization and renewal. Pavlodar residents are at the forefront of implementing the political reforms announced in the country.

Kazakh and Pavlodar pop stars performed on the main concert stage. Meruert Tusupbaeva, a native of Bayanaul district, dedicated the song "Tugan Zher" to her small homeland. An exhibition-promenade of artists was opened on the territory of the park, where everyone could contribute to the picture. Local craftsmen and artisans offered their crafts and works of art to the attention of the townspeople. Young wrestlers competed in strength and agility. Pavlodar residents and guests of the city lifted weights, pulled a rope and found out who was stronger in arm wrestling.

During the meeting with the akim of the region, city public figures supported the idea of holding a referendum on amendments to the Constitution of the country as one of the important steps to build a New Kazakhstan.

On the square in front of the House of Friendship, Abylkair Skakov visited an exhibition organized by representatives of ethnic and cultural associations of the region. The ECO chairmen told the history of the formation of public associations and the activities of the centers. Representatives of diasporas treated the guests of the holiday with national sweets and treats.

 The Regional Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan has 116 ethno-cultural associations. Of these, 24 are regional and 96 are city and district ECO. The APK includes the Council of Mothers, the Council of Elders, the mediation center, a scientific expert group and the regional branch of the NGO "Assembly of Zhastary".
