Industrial enterprises of Ekibastuz demonstrate a high level of social responsibility
The head of the region Abylkair Skakov visited the enterprises of the Ekibastuz region on a working trip. He held meetings with workers of the Bozshakol Mining and Processing Plant and Ekibastuz GRES-1.
At the Bozshakol GOK, labor productivity is 15 times higher than at other Kazakh copper mining enterprises. This was achieved through the use of modern equipment and the creation of a powerful fleet of mining equipment.
On the territory of 1200 square meters there is a shift camp for miners, where all conditions for recreation and everyday life of people are provided.
A modern polyclinic operates at the combine as part of outsourcing. Workers can be vaccinated against coronavirus infection here. The vaccination rate at the plant is 99.9 percent, 499 people were revaccinated.
- I am very glad that such good conditions are being created at the Bozshakol plant for its employees, - said Abylkair Skakov. – A high level of social responsibility can serve as an example for other enterprises of the region. It is very important for workers from a psychological point of view to know that, if necessary, they will provide high-quality medical care.
In the sports complex "Bozshakol Arena" for active leisure of workers there are basketball, volleyball and football grounds, gym and boxing halls. In their free time, employees can visit the cinema with three cinemas. Akim of the region recommended to expand the territory of the park around the plant and turn it into a kind of green belt.
At a meeting with the akim of the region, shift workers asked their questions. They were interested in the repair of the road junction on the Pavlodar – Nur-Sultan highway, the prices of food and the installation of video cameras near schools.
As Abylkair Skakov noted, the problem of the unsatisfactory state of the interchange worries many. Representatives of KazAvtoZhol assured that this section of the road will be repaired by the end of summer 2022.
The head of the region stressed that the state is making every effort to stabilize prices for socially important products and provide residents of the region with everything they need.
- There are about three hundred social shops in the region where basic products can be bought at prices below market prices, - said the akim of the region. – Our task is to remove the chain of intermediaries and organize direct deliveries from the stable fund. The main goal is to redirect the agro-industry to deep processing. This will create new jobs and ensure food security.
At Ekibastuz GRES-1, the general director of the enterprise Edil Kopenov reported on the state of affairs at the power plant. A project to restore power unit No. 1 with the installation of new electric filters is being implemented here. This will increase the capacity of the plant to 4,000 MW and create about 500 jobs for the construction period and 54 jobs at the operational stage.
They also take care of the social well-being of their staff at the enterprise. The average salary of a worker is 327 thousand tenge per month.
At the meeting with the akim of the energy sector, they were interested in the problems of housing and communal services, landscaping, keeping pets, public transport, the development of mass sports, education and other issues. During the conversation with the employees of the power plant, Abylkair Skakov told that he had worked at GRES-1 at one time and shared his memories of his work experience at their enterprise.
At the end of the meeting, the head of the region instructed the akim of Ekibastuz to take measures to create centers of attraction for citizens in each microdistrict. Abylkair Skakov stressed that parks, squares and playgrounds should be within walking distance for all Ekibastuz residents.
