Aksu residents are ready to participate in the improvement of their city
Akim of Pavlodar region Abylkair Skakov visited two city-forming enterprises of Aksu.
During a visit to the Aksu power plant of the Eurasian Energy Corporation JSC, the head of the region got acquainted with the activities of the enterprise. According to the President of JSC "EEC" Duisen Mergaliev, the history of the power plant begins on December 17, 1968, when the first power unit was launched.
Problems were also voiced during the visit. For example, Abylkair Skakov promised to put Duysen Mergaliev's question about the non-repayment of investment projects at the enterprise to the Ministry of Energy.
Then the head of the region met with the labor collective of the Aksu power plant.
- The most important component of any enterprise is people, a team, – said Abylkair Skakov. – It is important for us to feel the pulse that beats in your team, especially at the Aksu power plant, which produces about 40 percent of the electricity in the region. Your work is behind all this. Thank you for the warmth and light in our homes.
Abylkair Skakov immediately suggested switching to the "question-answer" format. There were questions of transport support, landscaping, housing and communal services.
In particular, workers are concerned about the problem of a shortage of buses. According to them, for this reason, many have to hire a taxi, and it hits the pocket. Akim of Aksu Nurlan Dyusembinov promised to resolve this issue in the near future and allocate two additional buses.
In addition, this year 16 courtyards will be repaired in Aksu, in which playgrounds will appear. Power engineers were also concerned about the issue of leisure activities. In particular, the residents of Aksu asked to solve the issue of building an ice court where adults and children could play hockey all year round. This issue has received support from the head of the region. According to him, an indoor hockey court will appear in Aksu by 2023.
Similar problems concern the workers of the Aksu Ferroalloy Plant, a branch of TNK Kazchrome JSC. According to the director of the plant Valentin Chikhichin, the plant's capacity is 1.2 million tons of ferroalloys per year. The products are sold in the markets of Russia, China, Japan, India, the European Union and the USA. This is the largest Aksu enterprise: over 6.5 thousand people work here.
The workers asked to build a new school, to equip the city beach, as well as public utilities. In turn, the akim of the region instructed to find out the need for student places in the city.
As for the issue of beach equipment, the mayor of the city Nurlan Dyusembinov promised to solve this problem. Already this year it is planned to clear the river channel leading to the city and fill the beach with sand.
During the conversation with the residents of the city, Abylkair Skakov emphasized that the residents of Aksu demonstrate their willingness to participate in making decisions to improve the city. As the head of the region noted, the question now is to create a new culture in the relationship between the government and the people. The population should be active, and akimats should solve people's needs in a timely manner.
