The scientific conference dedicated to the Day of Science in honor of the great scientist is held at Toraigyrov University
The International Scientific Conference in memory of the outstanding scientist, geologist and the first president of the Kazakh Academy of Sciences Kanysh Satpayev is being held at Toraigyrov University. Akim of the region Abylkair Skakov took part in the grand opening of the "XXII Satpayev readings".
The head of the region congratulated the participants of the conference on the Day of Science Workers. Abylkair Skakov noted that the conference will once again become a platform for the presentation of scientific projects and ideas.
- I am sure that the Satpayev readings will give answers to many questions and will reveal new names of scientists to us, - the akim of the region said. - Our main task is to strengthen the continuity of traditions between the older generation of scientists and young researchers.
In the foyer of the university, school students presented their inventions to the Governor of the region. Among them were projects for the extraction of energy from renewable sources, models of the small spacecraft "Kanysh" and the medieval city of Otrar.
9th grade students of the specialized school "Zhas Daryn" Ernur Kanapiya and Nazira Khasenova presented a project on generating electricity using solar panels and a wind engine for cattle breeding. Currently, the project is being tested on a farm in the Shcherbaktinsky district.
- In cloudy weather, we use the force of the wind, - says Ernur Kanapiya. - We spent 15 thousand tenge on the construction of the layout, and the price of consumables for a full-size prototype is more than 12 million tenge.
A student of the eighth grade of the Lyceum school No. 8 for gifted children, Yaroslava Kramchuk, presented a small spacecraft, thanks to which she got the opportunity to study at the United Space School - the NASA international school of Cosmonautics.
- The small spacecraft is designed for the production of "green" hydrogen fuel, - said Yaroslava Kravchuk. - This is a very eco-friendly way to extract oxygen and hydrogen from extraterrestrial sources.
Students of the Abai Gymnasium school Maksat Zhaken and Alikhan Kelden showed the akim of the region an application for ordering dishes in the school cafeteria. With its help, students can choose their favorite dishes from the menu, pay the cost and monitor the cooking time. Abylkair Skakov recommended monetizing the application with the help of commercial banks.
Within the framework of the Satpayev conferences, the head of the region discussed important issues of the development of Kazakh science with scientists of Toraigyrov University. Abylkair Skakov noted that local authorities are always ready to provide full support to the initiatives of regional universities to train personnel for the economy of the region. At the end of the meeting, Abylkair Skakov awarded the professors with Certificates of Honor and Letters of Thanks.
